Phodogoma Community Hall

In the past the original building (see below) had been packed with vulnerable families as we gave our goats ‘milk to malnourished infants and porridge to their pre-school siblings there.  But over the years, serious deterioration threatened its collapse, though still used regularly for under-5 health clinics & many other community events.

So we partnered with the local residents to build a new facility, a simple, open hall roofed with iron sheets—some recycled from the original building—with 2 secure consulting rooms/offices.  The excited villagers brought sand & water as their contribution, and along with the Chief & health officials, were delighted when the heart of their village was restored!
